I've had the phone about 3 months now. Love the phone with the exception of 2 things. I'm constantly having issues with the phone accidentally taking screen shots because the design of having the volume buttons and power button on the same side. its very easy to bump the 2 buttons causing unwanted screen shots. I had A BLU Vivo Air LTE as my last phone and it never gave me that problem because the volume and power buttons were put on opposite sides of the phone. Also, I've had no luck with being able to use the phones hotspot capability on the Metro PCS network. I've tried everything with going to a local store and working with customer service twice. They say the phone should work as a hotspot and that its something to do with the settings, but the salesman in the store has said there is an issue with phones having dual sim cards and compatibility with the Metro PCS network. Unfortunately, I had to go back to my 3 year old Vivo Air LTE in order to use as a hotspot on vacation. I still love the phone, but it definitely has some design flaws. I just wish they would upgrade the Vivo Air LTE to a new version, cause its the best phone I ever owned....

THE GOOD:
- Battery life
- Tons of storage (54gb, actually, not the 64gb advertised, but, still)
- Cheap
- Fingerprint reader
- Headphone jack
- Fast charging
- Cool accessories included
- Dual SIM/MicroSD slot

THE BAD
- Bad quality camera (kinda decent, but not what a 12 or 16 megapixel should be)
- Little sluggy at times
- Mediocre sound quality

THE VERDICT
I purchased this phone back in March 2018. It is currently September 2018, so I've had a good 6 month to fiddle with it.
The phone has decent built quality (the included case and screen protector help keeping scratches away) and has a good feel to the hand, both with and without the case.
Fast charging is a plus. I have managed to get a full charge in 90 minutes, so if I miss a night's charging, it is not the end of the world. The batery autonomy is amazing, too. by the end of work day I am usually at 70% and by the end of the day around 50%, so I could technically and easily go on for 2 days without a charge (although I've never risked it). I haven't yet fully tested the Extreme Battery Mode, but the one time I partially tested it I managed to go one full day on only 5% battery, so yeah, it would be handy in an emergency situation.
I haven't have yeat any issues with storage (using Google Drive alongside, but still, tons of on board storage).
The fingerprint reader, although a plus, it is not the best I've had. Still works most of the time. There is something else called Gestures Shortcuts, by drawing on your screen while off, can access certain featres such as camera, selfie camera, flashlight, music app, etc. This does not work 100% of the time either and tends to misread actions (PRO TIP: for some reason, gyroscope is involved in GS, so keep your phone standing straight for them to work).
The cameras are horrible. I mean, the quality is relativily decent. That is until you start zooming on the picture. Great amount of noise that should not be present, considering the amount of pixels this camera packs (I know it should not be the only point of consideration).
The UI is also kinda feels cheap and not very customizable. For example, settings shortcuts are not in the notification bar, raher, are pulled from the bottom (like an iPhone). Although third party apps can be used to place them in the NB, it is not that convenient. I highly recommend downloading a Launcher, as the native one kinda stinks.
The phone is very responsive and I hardly get bad reception. The call quality is good.
Overall, I like the phone and recommend it, if you are not too picky.

BLU Vivo 8 phone sucks! It's got spyware/adup built-in. Look it up! If you don't mind your phone secretly sending confidential data to a server in mainland China, by all means buy this junk.

This brand is not well known. However, it does what Xiaomi, OnePlus, BQ does, among others, which is to make good devices with good specifications at cheap prices, don't do like Doogee, Bluboo, UMiDigi, Ulefone, which the only good thing are their prices and perhaps their great batteries, but they want to join the trend with bad practices and making aesthetic clones of other devices with horrible results.
With SSB, this doesn't happen and I'm happy that despite not being very well known as the last ones named, it doesn't follow the game.

Nemesis72, 14 Sep 2017 its about 128GB not 120 gb as you said or do you forgot how to addThe key word there was *usable* storage.

The operating system and other non-modifiable data will occupy quite a bit of storage space, and an estimate of about 120 GB usable out of the (64+64=) 128 GB theoretical total is probably a fair estimate.

AnonD-638006, 07 Sep 2017 It can't shoot 4K videos. Max is only 1080p30I know. I'm just saying that that's the only reason why people need so much storage on a mobile phone.

Anonymous, 30 Aug 2017 microSD, up to 64 GB...! IS IT JOKE????!!!!!! Coupled with internal memory that's around 120 GB of usable storage. If you need more than that you must be shooting and storing 4K videos or something. In that case you shouldn't be using a budget smartphone. Also, if 120 GB storage isn't enough then more than half the smartphones in this world isn't for you.
